Adjoa Andoh was born in Bristol and raised in Leeds and the Cotswolds. She read Law at Bristol Polytechnic and now lives in South London with her husband and three children. She has worked extensively in theatre, radio and television. Her TV credits include: Silent Witness, Wire in the Blood and series of Dr Who, Casualty and Eastenders. Theatre productions include Stuff Happens and His Dark Materials for the National Theatre and The Dispute, Tamburlaine the Great and The Odyssey for the RSC. Adjoa has appeared in numerous radio productions in the last 20 years, has written for radio and was co-director of Wild Iris Theatre Company. She is a stoic supporter of Leeds United FC.
